A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is John Skokna

I'm an American Council of Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer who specializes in the development of young athletes and taking their game to the next level. I worked as the Facility Supervisor at the Chicago Blackhawks NHL training facility for 4 years and am a former collegiate football player. I spent my playing career at both Ave Maria University and North Central College.

I’ve always had a passion for health, fitness, and training ever since my college football playing days. However, it wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I realized I needed to take this passion to the next level in order to help all those who were stuck at home get healthy and stay healthy both physically and mentally. Hence the Mobile Fitness Trailer - AKA the Skokna Strength Performance Unit.

While I specialize in athlete development, I've been helping a wide range of clients - both athletes and non athletes reach their health and fitness goals for a handful of years in the Chicagoland area.

I'm now officially taking my passion for health and fitness to the next level with the Skokna Strength Performance Unit where I hope to use my expertise to have a positive impact on the Southwest Florida community and help numerous individuals to become healthier and happier versions of themselves. I firmly believe in the connection between your physical and mental health and I know we could all use a little more movement these days so that we can stay sharp mentally!

Enough about me! Let’s hear about you, your goals and how we can reach them together!
